I frequently mention the need for self care, for being mindful of one’s condition, and for taking a break when needed. Today I must admit that I’ve failed in this regard, and have been ordered offline for a bit.

Target Rich Environment:

I’ve mentioned what’s in my queue in various ways, here’s another rendition of that.

• GRU Outlet: Intelligencer out today.

• MIOS: PressTV Phone Logs should appear within a few days.

• MIOS: Russpublicans may just get dropped here; it’s missing a piece editors insist on having before publication.

• The hint in Snivel War: Raiklin’s Short List may lead to a real news article.

• There’s a sequel to God and QR Codes for Trump; The Courage Tour Goes to Michigan but not sure when it will appear.

• There’s a right wing extremist treasure chest out there, I seem to be the only one who understands the implications, getting it reported has been slow.

• There is a Russian infrastructure entanglement thing that just showed up, it absolutely WILL get press attention, but I have to translate it into English first.

• There is an older Russian infrastructure entanglement thing, 100% sanctions violating, that got reported and we thought resolved two years ago, but they may have crept back after the heat was off.

Local Atmospherics:

Today has been one of *THOSE* days.

Despite regular suggestions here regarding paying attention and self care, I’ve scored a solid F+ in this area, and it’s become obvious to others that something is amiss.

Depression, Disinformation & Dopamine just appeared on DailyKos, where I’m inclined to write in detail about health stuff, thinking that maybe I’ll enlighten a few others who are struggling. Having COVID last month pushed me off balance and I’ve been struggling quite a bit. I do think I got a tiny bit of insight regarding social media addiction though - a 5-HTP/L-tyrosine regimen might be really helpful for those who find it hard to disconnect.

Taking stock of things this week, I am …

• Steering a course back to normal dopamine levels.

• Nursing an old neck injury I aggravated last week.

• Detoxing from caffeine.

• Eyeing a $2,700 hole in my bank balance with no idea how to fill it.

• Short an associate who is tending a dying friend.

• Short another associate who’s hospitalized, but will recover.

So today when GRU Outlet: Intelligencer appeared I should have been delighted, but instead … irrationally angry about an aspect of this one. My brand could be succinctly defined as “responding, not reacting” … but that was not the case today, and it came out at someone who was just putting in work.

Global Atmospherics:

There’s an episode of Band of Brothers called Carentan that features The Battle of Bloody Gulch. The company is dug in with no more support than man portable 60mm mortars, then they get chewed up by mechanized infantry accompanied by armored cars, assault guns, and half tracks. Just as they’re about to be overrun, a company of M-4 Sherman tanks show up, and quickly put the Wehrmacht to flight.

Looking around today, after years of rear guard defenses, and probing things that were far too massive to do anything about, the DOJ/MI-5 have arrived in a fashion similar to 2nd Armored. The notable events are:

• Julian Assange Plea Deal

• Russian Moles In The U.S. get raided, indicted.

• Telegram Founder Pavel Durov Arrested

• Meliorator Social Botnet gets taken down.

• MIOS: Iran’s PressTV lead to MIOS: PressTV First Blood

• Breach Forums gets some of their own medicine

• Convicted Felon Donald Trump

All but one of those are recognizable as “shaping” ahead of the inevitable conflict that will erupt after the 2024 U.S. election, just seven weeks from now. Breach Forums is there as the most notable, least difficult thing to explain to non-participants, but “the scene” (hacker/troll universe) has been subject to an obvious, VERY aggressive federal task force since around the start of 2024.

What you see here is the virtual equivalent of Israel’s exploding pagers for Hezbollah. Some top level entities got taken out and all the rest of them are at risk of whiplash from all the looking over their shoulders they are doing.

Fog Of War:

There are a couple of things where we’ve seen the start of the action, but there is no resolution yet.

• Gay Wolf Furries clobbered Heritage Foundation.

• Iran Spearphished Roger Stone

Both of these cases are akin to the aforementioned treasure chest. The only thing released on Heritage was some manky Wordpress thing, they mentioned “200GB of other data, not very interesting”, which I’m certain contains the keys to the kingdom.

The fact that Stone has been hit … I hope *SOMEBODY* got that, and then made it available to the FBI. Given the Assange plea deal … and Charles Johnson coming out as a long term FBI source … there are a LOT of people out there wishing they’d said less and lurked more.

Conclusion:

I really WANT to get up out of my foxhole and charge into the fray …

I absolutely NEED to stop, before I trigger a friendly fire incident …
