Mryia Report Disbands

Shaping the space for post-election activity begins in earnest.

Yesterday when I posted Ignoring Irrelevant Idiots I assumed that I was the focus and the upcoming hearing in Texas was the proximal cause. But that came on the heels of Georgian Legion scandal Grifter: Richard Anderson Sharp III, and today I see Mryia Report has largely disbanded. In the background, there’s a lot of other stuff I’m not going to dignify by naming the parties involved; it’s the usual meaningless scuffles … so long as one remains personally clear of them.

Social movements have a natural arc, from spark of creation, to the ugly long tail where actual leadership is eliminated by a variety of means, leaving crackpots and grifters in the driver’s seat. Having taken a step back from my own personal concerns, I see efforts to terminate things connected to Ukraine, NAFO in particular, and this is preparation for the U.S. election fallout.

Let’s have a look at this.

So what happened? I don’t know precisely, because I’ve never had anything to do with this part of Ukraine’s support network, but “various ethical concerns” could just as well be applied to Sharp’s grifting. And the same thing happened with Arab Spring, Anonymous, and to a degree BLM. This is a classy segue by a new media operation, they’ve got things they all do, because they need doing, and some stuff they recognize as problematic, which will no longer be tolerated. This effort is maturing nicely.

It would help to understand the various sorts of people that get involved in these things. A non-inclusive list based on my own experiences:

• Overt creators/first cause, like Coffee Party and Indivisible.

• Legit leadership from the field; most recently various Ukrainian voices.

• Legit long term players; I see Arab Spring people supporting Ukraine.

• Actual partisans interested in a specific issue.

• Covert operators, like the NAFO takeover entities.

• Accelerationist/chan culture/scene whore types who ALWAYS turn up.

• Non-ideological grifters who turn out to work such things.

• Corporate intel, typically wreckers defending the movement’s target.

• Per What Hunts You?, the usual adult day care types are lurking.

I’ve been a partisan, a leader, I’m a legit long term player, I’ve supported overt creators, avoided covert operators and corporate intel, and I will stomp accelerationists, grifters, and other undesirables if I catch them.

So we’ve got a couple episodes and a bit of a taxonomy of the players, what’s next?

Post Election Prep:

Some things I think I see happening include …

Things that became infested by grifters are getting cleansed - they either move past it, or they get broadly discredited, and then may linger, but as shadows of their former potency.

There are a melange of folks with 2012 envy who failed to rebrand/reposition for Ukraine, and they’re making an effort to get in position for the post election conflict, so they can get back on the corporate tit.

There’s a multifaceted effort to steer actual leadership into bullshit time sinks like my lawsuit in Texas. I don’t think it’s working very well, seems to be Twitter-centric.

There are srs bsns covert operators circulating, interviewing people who show signs of leadership, but they’re disfunctionally skittish, and will miss the mark.

There are covert operators who get involved in social movements who may be involved in the anti-grifter work, the dissolution of prior workable efforts, and they’re keeping their eyes peeled for what’s next.

There are shadowy things that were effective at creeping around, they’re trying to come out into the light, but that’s a very difficult transition for a person, let alone a branded effort.

Both Iranian and Russian funded influence operations in the west are getting hammered, which leaves the folks who accepted the career paths they offered in a terrible situation, maybe arrested (Medhust), maybe indicted(Simes), or maybe fleeing with no plan for what to do next (Ritter).

You can match those happenings to the players described in the previous section, and then try to figure out who you don’t see, and what they may be doing. Just keep in mind there are no “sides”, there are multiple network threats, and they move due to everything from strategic direction to virtual lust triangles spilling into the real world.

This coming week MIOS: PressTV Phone Logs should hatch out in public. Alinky’s 7th rule states “Tactics that drag on too long become a drag.” Combining that with the overall reassortment of social movements, I spent this morning wiping down my NAFO fella in preparation to retire it completely, and this final PressTV event is also the end of the Canine Intelligence Agency. They were all good boys and girls, but there’s no purpose to dragging last year’s hottest styles into the new season.

This next six weeks is a great time for those of you who’ve never done this before to pay really close attention. Much like 2012, ten years from now those of us still around are going to be making fun of newcomers with “2024 envy”. The fourth quarter of 2024 seems certain to feature everything I’ve ever witnessed in the last fifteen years, plus a bunch of innovation due to AI, foreign actors, and domestic discord.

You and I know it’s already started, and now we wait for the day the light comes on for the corporate media, and then the gerontocracy that treats them as THE news source.
