UNCONFIRMED: China Threatens Myanmar Resistance
Ed Nash pays close attention to this civil war.
The letter Nash covers here is purportedly from a Chinese official to a major resistance group.
THIS HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED
But it is plausible. Part of the stated concerns are the Myanmar Cyberslaves and their targeting of Chinese civilians. This is mentioned around the 5:00 mark.
China would prefer a steady state of junta versus resistance, just as the west prefers neither Ukraine nor Putin to lose in their conflict. The west fears an increase in chaos, while China fears a reduction. This “simmering, not boiling” preference is ugly, but I think it will be the new normal in the 21st century.
Escalation has become the norm in most conflicts.
