It's sabotage, not terrorism

This Tesla repair facility in Las Vegas had “RESIST” painted on it and a number of cars set alight.

This is not TERRORISM.

This is SABOTAGE.

Terrorism is an attack on soft targets in order to produce a political change in a third party.

You can’t terrorize a sedan, it’s an inanimate object. You can however thoroughly sabotage it.

This is a nit to pick but it’s my nit. Back during Arab Spring/Occupy the definition of terrorism spread to the point where making fun of someone on Twitter counted.

An organization that could be legitimately described as engaging in terrorism will also do sabotage. The reverse is not true; the radicalized environmentalists are generally aghast at the notion of causing casualties, but will gleefully sabotage things to make a point. Extinction Rebellion’s body count thus far is zero, but they willfully damage property on the regular.

This may be a FALSE FLAG ATTACK. Tesla shares are crashing, sales are crashing, it’s unpleasant to even own one, and it will be no surprise when Tesla owners start torching their own cars to get out from under the exposure. Seeing multiple vehicles going all at once with a “RESIST” sign doesn’t seem like an insurance scam, but we must consider the possibility this was pro-Musk partisans trying to create a perception.

There’s no need to rush in here. The fire will get put out today, the investigators will start digging tomorrow, there will be video from the area, and more will be revealed. This situation does not need another Boston bombing citizen mob investigation.
