The surgery 48 hour ago went really well. All of the walking I do, the fact that I’m comfortable not having anything but vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes for days at a time, the first lowered the risk before, the second will hasten the recovery time after.
And I got a spiffy red drug allergy band, there’s one they might use in surgery that leads to me be strapped down and sedated. Obviously can’t have that.
I am OK for a couple days here, but after getting the post surgery stuff I need, there’s just $20 or so in cash left for the month. I have a follow up on the 11th, then another appointment on the 18th, and I’m obviously not going to be biking to these, which is what I’d normally do.
I had nothing but vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes over the last 72 hours. I just cheated as I’m writing this at 22:10 Thursday night - a quarter cup of candied walnuts. Getting the surgery done is a big thing, but over the long haul discovering that I don’t really need to eat, if I keep up on micronutrients, is pretty amazing. I was 176 when the pandemic started, 210 at the doctor when I had the first visit that led to this surgery. Right before the procedure I was 198 and I’m gonna keep on this fasting until the discomfort fades.
Anyway, that’s that, medication is kicking in, I’m laying back down. If you’ve got any coin to spare a subscription here or an Amazon gift card would be fantastic. I should be recovered enough to start prowling for work, maybe as soon as the long weekend is up, but in the meantime the cupboard is bare …
I hope you heal well and soon. I upgraded my subscription.
Any other way to upgrade
