dude, I just got diagnosed with alpha gal syndrome, a tick borne disease, after decades of daily anaphylaxis and have been mammal food and anaphylaxis free for a year now. stay hard to kill.

I read about alpha-gal in the spring of 2012, immediately cut red meat. I tried it again in a week and there's no doubt I had it. I stayed red meat free until 2017 or 2018, was getting blood work done, doctor added it, and it's gone. Having it and naturally recovering is apparently the normal course for it. I am no longer 100% red meat free, there's a breakfast place a mile from here that does a really good omelette that includes bacon :-)

damn, I miss cheese. good french cheese. moldy, with some country ham bits. thanks for the information on recovery. I am mammal free for a year now and ready to fight. they told me five years, so your comment sounds legit according to my medical team. its always good to hear I can beat this crap. see ya around, hoss.

Nael - take care of yourself. Out of all the Substack subscriptions I haveβ€”yours is one I genuinely enjoy reading, given the mixture of insight and technical knowledge you possess. I have PTSD & chronic-depression. I get it …sometimes you just have to regenerate while you’re still able to do so.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it. DM me if you want to talk PTSD, I needed some attention in that area after my teens and twenties.
