Personal & Organization Safety Consults
My experience in high threat environments began in 2010.
When I posted Reboot Camp 2025 I was under the impression that we were dealing with a boiling frogs scenario, that people who had played it safe were going to realize they were suddenly facing threats similar to what I have since 2010. Instead of the slowly increasing pot temperature, the whole kitchen got hit with a thermobaric warhead on September 10th. The oxygen being sucked out of the room is the only reason everything in sight has not instantly bursts into flames.
The shock is wearing off and the air is going to rush back in. The FBI is being extraordinarily chatty, the Groyper/gamer world is about to get the mother of all responses to their endless needling. There is an ongoing effort to turn Tyler James Robinson’s transitioning room mate Luna into a leftist, but as we saw in The Gropyer’s Girlfriend, that’s not supported by objective reality. Even so, I think there are people, who have literally done nothing wrong, who are now under threat.
I am available to have conversations about that via the Signal app or email exchanges using Proton. No POTS (plain ol’ telephone service) calls, no Gmail, invisible trails are the best trails.
Attention Conservation Notice:
Just shamelessly trying to round up a little cash based on fifteen years of experience with accelerationist dipshits, paid snitches, and all sorts of grifters.
Expertise:
Here are some of the things I’ve dealt with over the years for individuals, grassroots working groups, civil society NGOs, and actual irregular units in real combat zones.
Many, many, MANY sorts of grifters
A variety of mentally ill pursuers
Malicious prosecution attempts
Frivolous litigation
Custody & divorce investigations
Minors facing harassment from various online forums
Assisting federal public defenders
Brand defense for a high profile internet collective
Identity theft
Identity assumption
Backlash from antagonizing nation states
Local, state, and federal law enforcement corruption
There are only a few things that can happen now in response to the assassination of Charlie Kirk that I have not already experienced in a direct, personal fashion. Most of those things have happened to people I know well enough to have had long conversations about the particulars of their experiences. A bit further afield, I’ve done some stuff in Ukraine, where people sometimes go out, and never return.
Protocol:
Here’s how I would handle this.
You may approach me by LinkedIn connection, or a PM here if you do not use that service. I occasionally get people who’ve cashed in their short bus frequent rider miles in an effort to get me to have long, theoretical conversations about stupid criminal schemes. I’m in zero patience mode, if you act funny, you get a refund, and then I ghost you.
While I insist on dealing with real people who have genuine problems, I don’t want to know all that much about your life beyond that. What I need to assess your situation is pretty minimal. I do this regularly and I’m a sort of security apostle in a sense; many times the answer to a question is sharing a parable. I’ve done a lot, seen so much more, and in general whatever you’re facing will probably be familiar to me. Many times simply hearing ground truth in an initial interview is enough, and the victim goes away with the confidence to finish the job on their own.
If there is a need to examine an incoming threat closely, that takes a little time. Investigative tradecraft litters this site, basically depending on the situation I spend a day, perhaps purchasing a burner phone, perhaps having you and a few close associates befriend a new social media account so I can watch things in detail.
When the looking around is done, I write up a report. These are generally two to five pages. You get it, read it, sleep on it, then we have a call to talk it over. Once that’s done I send you an encrypted archive with my notes, Maltego files, etc. You will have to hold the data yourself, and if you need me again, you send it back.
Past Events:
It’s rare, but occasionally I get permission to anonymize something I’ve done, and then post it here.

Incident Response is a grab bag full of stuff like these.
Rate Card:
I generally get $50 for the initial consultation - some chat/email, some time on the phone. Many times people are nervous about things that are pretty far fetched, and simply hearing about real episodes gives them the confidence to make some small changes to improve their overall security posture.
When I have to get a burner phone, or create a virtual machine, or make some social media accounts, and go wandering around to check out what’s bugging you, that’s the “day rate” of $250. A day is anywhere from four hours to twenty four. I’m not a real stickler about tracking time, that’s what an hour of time for someone with my skills costs if you’re dealing with an agency. My overhead is low, I generally feel good about this sort of work, I get to reduce someone else’s stress, and I end up covering my vitamins & supplements for the month. Most of this work like this that I get comes word of mouth, so I try really hard to send folks away happy.
If there’s a lawyer and a protection order, or a police officer and a formal report, or a physical world PI that needs a cyber assist, that might fit into the “day rate”. But sometimes there’s more time or expenses. As a rule the costs don’t run wild, maybe you need “day rate” twice for something complex.
The easiest way to pay me is to get a founder’s subscription here. I can adjust it so you can pay whatever amount. There’s also a Paypal method, if we must.
Conclusion:
I started saying We’re Gonna Fight about eight years ago. I hate being right about this.
If there is something I can do that will permit you to rest a bit easier in these trying times, feel free to contact me.
Neal Rauhauser on LinkedIn.
My first name at my last name dot net is ProtonMail.
You can PM me here if those don’t work for some reason and I can share a Signal name I keep just for this sort of work.
Coda:
I am serving as Brand Defense Strategist for Cicada 3301, which still occasionally surprises me. Causes and conditions compel me to finish what began with Red Sparrow Reality. But understand this, after fifteen years of trying to stop what we now face, I accept that my preventative efforts failed. I’m End Of Life.
If you’re thinking of spending $50 so you can pitch me for an offensive role in your resistance effort, I’ll patiently explain why the answer is “NO”, and then I’m keeping your money. So just don’t.
