This outburst is from a longtime female associate on the other side of the pond, she’s fine being called Ms. Marple. Her assessment is both deadly accurate and funny. The Black and LGBTQIA communities understood that and lockstepped their shit

94% Black women's vote, 86% overall Black vote, and 86% LGBTQIA vote.

Landslides. These communities ran flat out during this steeplechase, only for Karen and Brayjaycayokayden and Hamid and Jose to grab the baton and then sit stomp their heels in a pout.

Now those people are demanding these communities come and put themselves in the line of fire, and lol no, you guys have fun in Gilead. Cookout / parade's closed.

For example, Black social media had been dogging on Harris for her overachiever arrest and prosecution records.

When push came to shove, though? Nobody said shit about "cop bad", they went and did their civic duty.

And now they're sitting back and watching this tire fire burn because it's not their job to play mommy and dry Karen and Brayden's tears because they don't like the consequences of their actions.

Meanwhile the people who were bitching about Harris being "bad for Gaza" are now whining that she's "nowhere to be seen", yes and? She's a private citizen, your tantrum made sure of that. Now keep crying about it because she doesn't owe you shit.

"But AOC and Crockett and Bernie are running around doing things!!" yes because that's literally their job you dipshit.

It's their job. It could have been Harris' job, you could have been whining at Harris while Trump threw another tantrum and she tried to get something done despite the Republicans, but noooo, baby had to spit out the dummy(Brit slang:pacifier) because they didn't get a cookie to get them to take their medicine.

Well now baby's house is on fire and they might have the measles and the neighbours are about to smother baby with a pillow, so.

This is by no means the first time I’ve heard sentiments like these. Black, Hispanic, and LGBT Americans I know have all expressed similar views over the last four months.

Eleven million Biden voters stayed home? 50% of all white women voted for Trump? They are all going to Find Out and I wish them the best of luck.

The Democratic party’s shock troops have faded back into the shadows. And from where I sit, the reporters were just half a step behind them.

Personal:

I have slogged along for sixteen years this month, worrying about as well as taking action against right wing extremists in this country. I had intended to be done after the 2020 election, but stuff just kept happening. Now stuff is happening again, but I am done. Transmitting defensive tradecraft is fine, but that’s the extent of my interest.

I tried to clarify things in Mourning Mankind, as much for myself as for any reader. The things that mattered the most to me are gone beyond recall, unless the Millennials/Zoomers can roll a natural 00 on their saving throw for our species.

There isn’t a dedicated atmospherics section here, but maybe there should be. I’ve had a couple opportunities to explain the divisions and views within American society over the last couple months, people from both Asia and Europe have been grateful to hear an observant local’s take on things. I have a couple more items like this that will get processed and posted during the month of March.
